I am looking for a John Bou(gh)ton. I believe he was
born probably around 1780 - 1790. Could have been married to a
Mary. Her last name unknown but may have been Mott. John
purchased property in Slaterville in 1807 coming from Dryden. John's
children were: Sally (m. William Wood), John B., Daniel (m.
Sylvia Scott), Jehiel (m. Hannah Hall), Julia, Manly Alexander (m. Mary
VanPelt), and James. Found John Boughton in the 1810 census
living in Spencer, Tioga County, New York. This is the John I'm looking
for but have not found him in any other census. He died somewhere
between 1813 and 1820. John's father moved to Ohio with John's
son Jehiel by 1820. Thanks, Cindy

| Williamson / Teed / Petrusky / Petruskie | Looking
for information on Williamson
– Teed – Petrusky / Petruskie surnames/families from Ithaca,
Tompkins County, New York. My grandmother – Helen Marie Williamson, born September 17, 1906 Ithaca, New York Her parents were: George Williamson, born October 1881, New York and Helena Petruskie or Petrusky, born Sept. 1888, died abt. 1910 Ithaca, New York. George Williamson's parents I think were: Burton T. Williamson, born 1862, New York, died abt. 1899, and Georgia M. Teed, born June 1864 in New York. Georgia’s father may have been named George Teed. He seems to have died young and Georgia lived with an older sister on various census records prior to marriage. Perhaps George was killed in the civil war, after 1863. Or was there some kind of illness/plague in Ithaca in 1867? I have noticed on some Ithaca cemetary records where multiple members of some families all died around Nov or Dec of 1867. Georgia M. Teed Williamson also married a second time to Herman C. Perry born 1865 in New York. There were 3 more children, named Claude Perry born 1899, Ruth Perry born 1908, and Roger A. Perry born 1909. Burton and Georgia had 7 children: Burton, and also Etta, Inez, Maude, Charles B., Leon, and a child which died young before 1900. Georgia had a total of 10 children, 9 of whom were still living as of the 1910 census. My grandmothers mother, Helena “ Lena” Petrusky, died young, when my grandmother was about 4 years of age in 1910. Her parents were Joseph (born May 1860) and Mary (born Dec. 1861) Petruskie both born in Hungary or Austria. Their children were Helena, also Mary (born Nov 1886), Dora (b. May 1891), Joseph (b. 1897), and John (b. 1902). Thanks in advance for any help you can offer in my genealogy search! Beth White Matsuyama |
